Set in the year 1999, Ken Carter returns to his high
school to coach for the basketball team. He set up strict rules and discipline
to lead the team through basketball and academic success. However, as the team
gets more and more focus on basketball, their grades start to suffer. When
Carter knows this, he immediately shuts down the gym and stops their
championship shot. Although criticized by the players and authorities of the
school, Carter sticks to his plan and states that academic is as important as
sports.
