This rough and tough action film consist of a group of
bounty hunter lead by Luke Goss in a mission of saving a woman Mae (Chasty
Ballesteros) from being kidnapped by nasty drug cartel. She’s successfully
picked up by the crew while running from the Aguilar (Trejo) the head of the
cartel. However, they are tucked at a dessert motel trying to hold against
Aguilar’s gangs to survive the night.
The Night Crew utilize the concept and low budget
effort to develop a full firepower action pack movie. Luke Goss continues to be
top leading low budget action man.
The film is develop in an old-school style with
director Sesma and his crew setting up several nicely staged gun battles,
explosion and bits of hand-to-hand-combat action moves. The plot is streamlined
in favour of gun blasting action the film does build to a unique (though easy
to guess) twist and once proceedings hit the final reel, it does feel like the
crew have really been through the ringer.
Aimed to target the action junkies out there, The
Night Crew may occasionally try a little hard to deliver but is nevertheless a
down and dirty action mixed with an old school style.
